You don't have to sacrifice your well-being to keep everything else from falling apart.

There are endless tasks on your to-do list, and never enough time to get them all done.

No matter how hard you try, your to-do-list keeps expanding, and you are forever disappointed in how little you’ve accomplished.

You push yourself harder, but that just leaves you more tense and worn out.

After a busy day, you get home, the kitchen’s a mess, your son needs help with his homework, your partner asks a simple question—and you snap.

You don’t like how irritable and impatient you’ve become, and it’s happening more and more lately.

At night, when the house is finally quiet, your mind is anything but. You fall into bed exhausted, but sleep won’t come. You toss and turn, stuck in a loop of anxious thoughts—obsessing over mistakes, second-guessing your decisions, and worrying about deadlines.

Does this sound familiar?

When the weekend finally comes, you breathe a sigh of relief, hoping to be able to do something fun or relax.

Instead, you find yourself inundated with chores and tasks, like grocery shopping, weeding the yard, house cleaning, paying your bills, and trying to get organized for the upcoming week.

Before you know it, the weekend’s nearly done, and you don’t feel any better.

You’re still exhausted, you’re still no farther ahead.

You look back, and wonder what you did at all.  It wasn’t much fun, and you didn’t relax.

Now you are also noticing some troubling physical  symptoms — maybe frequent headaches, digestive issues, or chronic pain somewhere in your body (like your hip, back or neck).

More and more, it feels like your body is waving the white flag.

And through it all, there’s that inner critic—telling you you’re not doing enough.

That you should do more, and you should do it better. That somehow, you’re falling short.

If any of this resonates with you, you’re not alone.

Imagine what it would be like to feel calmer and less frazzled

What if your day didn’t feel like a marathon of to-dos, and you had time to rest and recharge?

What if you weren’t constantly bracing for the next thing, and could actually enjoy your day?

Imagine feeling healthy and more like yourself again.

Hi, I’m Joanne.

 Joanne Masiokas
Clinical Counsellor

As a Clinical Counsellor offering online therapy in Victoria, Vancouver, and across BC, I help adults who are stuck in a cycle of chronic stress, exhaustion or anxiety. Together we can create space to breathe, slow down, and begin to untangle all the stress and pressure that is preventing you from thriving in your life.

I offer a safe, gentle, and collaborative therapy approach that draws on mind-body techniques like EFT, and mindfulness, as well as trauma-informed psychotherapy and parts work.

I can help you learn how to soothe your nervous system and rewire your anxious brain, so that you can feel more calm and more at ease. I can also help you to shift old unhelpful patterns that may be contributing to the cycle so you can step out of it, and better handle whatever comes your way.

Things We Can Work On Together

  • Reducing anxious thoughts and excessive worries about the future

  • Learning how to take better care of yourself - without guilt

  • Quieting the inner critic that keeps telling you you're not doing enough

  • Learning how to set healthier boundaries at work and in your relationships

  • Relieving insomnia and helping your mind settle so you can finally sleep

  • Helping you improve your energy and overall sense of well-being

  • Figuring out what really matters—so you can stop chasing everything else

Imagine if, six months from now, you were still in the same place:

Burned out, frazzled, and barely keeping your head above water.

Still tossing and turning at night. Not feeling rested in the morning.

Still pushing yourself to get through the week, and overriding your body’s pleas for help.

Still trapped in that relentless cycle.

On the other hand, what if you were able to get the help you need to break out of the old repetitive patterns?

What if you then had the energy to get through your day without pushing yourself past your limits?

What if you could go to bed without your mind running through an endless loop of worries—and actually rest?

Picture a life where you’re more relaxed, grounded, and able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.  Where you feel connected in your relationships, and there’s more space for laughter and joy.

You can have a more balanced and peaceful life.

You Might Be Wondering…

“What if I don’t have time for therapy?”

When you're already running on empty, and you’re juggling so much, even the idea of adding something else can feel overwhelming.

But therapy isn’t another demand—it’s a space to pause, breathe, and begin to untangle all the pressure and stress that’s been sucking the energy out of you.

It will help you find a path forward that brings you more of what you really want out of life, and is sustainable over time.

“What if I stop pushing myself so hard? Won’t everything in my life just fall apart?”

When you’ve been struggling to hold everything together for so long, it makes sense to fear that letting go—even a little—could make things worse.

Recovering from burnout  does not mean abandoning your responsibilities.

Therapy can help you create a more sustainable and balanced life in the midst of life’s demands and pressures.

“What if therapy hasn’t helped me in the past?”

That can be discouraging, and it makes sense that you might feel hesitant.

But this approach is different. We won’t just talk about what’s going on—we’ll also use  mind-body approaches and tools to help you learn to calm your nervous system, rewire your anxious brain, and help you step out of overdrive.

Together, we can also gently explore and shift limiting beliefs that may be contributing to your anxiety and burnout symptoms.

This Might Be for You If…

  • You’re feeling worn out, anxious, or overwhelmed and want things to be different.

  • You want to develop a calmer, more peaceful mind

  • You’re open to exploring a mind-body approach to therapy.

  • You are looking for more than a quick temporary fix—you’re looking for real lasting change.

This Might Not Be for You If…

  • You’re looking for a few tips or hacks, so you can get back to “business as usual.”

  • You are in a crisis that requires emergency support

  • You’re not interested in exploring the deeper patterns that may be contributing to your anxiety and chronic stress.

  • You want a highly structured, goal-oriented form of therapy.

  • You’re not open to trying new tools or ways of understanding yourself.

You Don’t Have to Keep Living in Overdrive.

This approach isn’t about “powering through”, buckling down and trying harder, or just finding another coping strategy.
